We offer several ways that individuals and groups can volunteer their time to help Homes for the Brave. Possible opportunities include:
Serve a Meal. This is the best way to get to know the men and women we serve. We have up to 42 men at Homes for the Brave and 15 women and children at Female Soldiers: Forgotten Heroes. By donating and serving a meal, you help defray our costs and show our residents how much you appreciate them.
Host a Supply Drive. Involve your friends, family, office, or community organization to collect supplies that our residents need most. Check out our Wish List for ideas.
Participate in Special Events. We can always use help collecting prizes and recruiting attendees for our fundraisers, or volunteering on the day of the event. Opportunities also exist to create new fundraisers and find innovative methods to raise funds.
Provide Expertise. Throughout the year, we invite community members to share their expertise to enhance the services we provide. This can include teaching classes in life skills, financial wellness, computer programs, and more.
Be an Ambassador. Being an advocate for Homes for the Brave is a volunteer opportunity that fits into every schedule and budget! We always need friends to spread the word about our programs, items we need, and special events. You can hang event posters in local businesses or share our emails and social media posts.
