Clinical Program

HFTB recognized a need to expand clinical expertise to provide mental health services on-site for residential clients and for homeless Veterans utilizing the HFTB Veterans Service Center. Many of the Veterans we serve are either ineligible for clinical services at the VA or find it difficult to travel to VA medical campuses in West Haven or Newington on a regular basis for treatment. In January 2019 the Homes for the Brave Clinical Program launched and employed a licensed Psychologist as the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) to provide oversight of all clinical programs and address this gap in services. Clinical programming will include access to recovery-oriented individual and group therapy to address the mental health and substance abuse needs of homeless Veterans in the local Bridgeport community.

If you are a Veteran with Medicaid and need someone to talk to, Dr. Stephanie Lynam, our Chief Clinical Officer, is available. Please call (203) 338-0669 and ask to speak with her. If she’s not available, please leave a message, and she will get right back to you. You can also email her to learn more.
